Matthew Mobilio

Founding Partner

Matt Mobilio, Founding Partner of Mobilio Wood and Lehigh Valley native, is an experienced litigator who knows how to navigate the law inside and outside the courtroom. He handles every phase of litigation, including trials, arbitrations, and mediations, and has received awards and commendations for his litigation skills. Matt helps individuals and families in two distinct areas – employment law, and personal injury. As each matter is unique, whether it be a slip and fall, construction or car accident, Matt knows when to take an aggressive or agreeable approach. Likewise, he knows when to take a case to trial or handle it through mediation. Matt’s passion for personal injury and employment discrimination law started early in his career. After law school, he completed a clerkship with the Honorable Richard A. Gray and then worked for a small but distinguished law firm in Williamsport, where he was almost immediately placed on partnership track.
Matt and his team have received multiple millions of dollars in settlements and successes for their employment law clients, protecting the rights of employees when their employers break Pennsylvania state and federal employment laws. Victims of sexual harassment and hostile workplace incidents and all sorts of discrimination, including race, age, disability, religion, pregnancy, gender, and national origin, turn to Matt for guidance. Sometimes, when an employee brings claims against the employer or blows the whistle on other employer misconduct, the employer will retaliate against the employee – Matt also fights for the rights of these victims. Matt represents employees who suffer unlawful treatment under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and the Medical Marijuana Act.
Matt has successfully recovered multiple millions of dollars for injury victims and their families, including lost wages, medical expenses, and pain and suffering representing those physically injured due to no fault of their own. He helps victims of car and truck accidents, construction accidents, and slip and fall accidents. These types of lawsuits often involve getting paid by insurance companies. Matt spent years working for insurance companies defending personal injury lawsuits, where he learned the intimate details of how injury claims are handled. This experience is a great advantage for his personal injury clients.

A former Commissioner of South Whitehall Township, Matt also spent almost four years as a South Whitehall Township Zoning Hearing Board member. A 2019 recipient of the Lehigh Valley Business’ 40 Under 40 Award, which honors the top 40 business people in the Lehigh Valley under the age of 40, Matt is a former youth soccer coach and previously served as a board member of Habitat for Humanity. He serves as special discovery master in Lehigh County and is solicitor for the Lehigh County Controller’s Offiice.
